Welcome Chi-Chi Lin Bestmann

Multifaceted conductor and violist Chi-Chi Lin Bestmann bridges classical tradition with contemporary innovation. NSO welcomes her as our new conductor following a year-long conductor search by the musicians of the orchestra last season. Originally from Taiwan, she has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall, where she has collaborated with artists across diverse musical genres. Ms. Bestmann is a faculty member at MacPhail Center for Music and will be the Visiting Conductor for Macalester College Symphony Orchestra for 26-27. She is the founder of Petite Concerts, a program that focuses on enriching young children's musical experiences through live performances, thereby cultivating the next generation of classical music enthusiasts. Ms. Bestmann lives in Minnesota with her family, where she maintains a dynamic career as a performer, educator and business owner.
